Betty Babble here again. Just watched another family Christmas movie staring Harold Cronk, Bruce Boxletner and Kenton Duty. Just under an hour and 1/2 this holiday family movie earns 4 stars. A sports caster gets out of control at his son’s basketball game and the consequences teach him a valuable lesson about life and the true meaning of the Christmas season. A good lesson for all and perfect for entire family. Betty Babble signing out!

Dear Santa

Hi Betty Babble here again enjoying yet another Christmas movie from 2011. One hour and 32 minutes went too fast in this sweet story of a young girl living with her single dad wishing for a mom to fill their house with love. A heart warming story even though predictable has a message about fate, and remember to always follow your heart. I thought David Hayden-Jones who plays the father was cute too, along with Amy Acker and Patrick Creey, I give this one 4.5 stars. Enjoy! Betty Babble signing out.

Holiday Foods can bring on GAS…Flatulence

Betty here wishing to share some good remedies for overeating foods that cause gas, too bad we can’t run our cars on it! Look everyone passes gas but we can be more aware of what we eat. Some foods produce more gas such as cabbage, onions, prunes, brussel sprouts, beans, apples, peaches, pears, corn, oats, potatoes, dates, broccoli, cauliflower, milk, ice cream, soft cheese, fried foods, spicy foods, refined sugars, processed foods and fluffy wheat products such as bread. Other foods such as citrus fruits, bananas, grapes, rice, eggs, natural yogurt, hard cheese, meat (as long as you chew it fully) and non-carbonated drinks. Chewing on some fresh basil along with adding it to your cooking will also help to prevent further flatulence problems. Chewing your food well helps to break it down so it can be properly absorbed. High saturated fats and high carb foods contribute to gas problems.

Some great remedies are the following:

1) Get on floor on your back, legs up in the air and hands down to support your back and circle your legs like riding a bike.

2) Charcoal tablets, they absorb toxins as well as excess air in the digestive track

3) Probiotic supplements

4) Garlic might give you garlic breath but puts the gas right out of your belly

5) Cinnamon 1/2 tsp of cinnamon in warm reg milk,or almond milk with a touch of honey prevents gas attacks

6) Peppermint oil can be used two drops in cool water 2 times a day or boil peppermint tea leaves and umm delicious too!

7) Baking soda and lemon are an easy fix. squeeze juice of a lemon into 1/2 glass of water and a teaspoon of baking soda.

8) Apple cider vinegar with the mother load, I use Braggs! excellent eliminator and cleanser.

9) Caraway seeds or black cumin seeds. Boil and steep for 10 minutes and then strain and drink.

10) Ginger used as a tea drink 3 times a day or chew a fresh piece or use it for cooking.

11) Fennel seeds boiled for 3-5 minutes or just chew a small amount of them for a quick cure of gas this season!

That’s my tips for today, Betty Babble signing out! Happy eating.

Christmas Town

Betty here…I just love watching so many meaningful Christmas movies. Christmas Town staring Nicole Boer, playing a single workaholic mom who has lost the true meaning of Christmas until her father helps her to discover the magic of the holiday spirit on a Christmas visit to HollytownI give this 5 stars. One hour and twenty minutes flew by as I was absorbed in the deeper meaning, STOP taking life so seriously and have fun!..not bad for a puppet! Peace out Betty.

More Christmas Movie Reviews

Hi again Betty here posting some more Christmas Movie reviews.

Christmas with the Kranks was a fun, make you smile comedy Christmas movie.Tim Allen playing Luther Krank and Jamie Lee Curtis playing his wife decide to skip the traditional Christmas and opt for a cruise because their daughter is away and not coming home for Christmas. The message in this movie is a simple one, you can’t find happiness outside of the very things you really love. I give it 4 stars for making me smile on a cold day!

Betty here again for another Christmas movie review. The Mistle-tones with Tori Spelling. A young singer has wanted to be in the legendary Christmas singing group founded by her late mother. Although very talented she turns her obstacles into a new idea that creates the best Christmas ever for all. Somewhat predictable but still I just love a happy end! I give this 3.5 stars.

This Christmas movie was.a real sleeper Holiday in Handcuffs...just loved this one, who wouldn’t,staring Mario Lopez! A young single women who considered herself the black sheep of her family never seems to make her parents proud of her decisions, especially when you see what she does to prove to them how good she is doing when she heads to the cabin they rented for Christmas with the family. Funny yet so heart warming and makes you want to believe that it is all about fate! Enjoyed watching this one so much I gave it 4.5 stars.
